On the subject of Visa's, I was just wondering if anyone has ever had any problem getting their £10 accepted?
I travelled to Turkey 4 years ago on my own to meet my parents in Icmeler for the 2nd week of their hols. I had my crisp, English £10 note with me, and when I handed it over, the guy wouldn't accept it. Being young at the time I panicked. I had no other money apart from Scottish money (which they don't accept) as my parents had all my money with them. Luckily enough a lovely woman I sat next to on the plane was just behind me, and could speak Turkish. She sorted it for me. She said he wouldn't accept it as it didn't have a mark on it for either the Queens Jubilee or a Centenary Celebration (can't remember which one). My parents both had similar notes to mine (without a mark) and they got through fine. I didn't realise they were THAT strict on the money you hand over. Maybe it was just because I was a young lass on my own, I don't know.
Has anyone else ever had an experience like this or ever heard of this before?

Thanks 8)
