I like to take on board what other peoples opinions are of places to eat, visit, etc . I also think thats what forums are all about aren't they??
Tania,

I hope you didn't think I was suggesting people shouldn't ask for or take advice from the forum.
I was having a laugh as I know from experience how many different answers that question would get.
After all, why else would we be here!

the best restaurant in the whole of icmeler has got to be CHEF, fantastic friendly staff, excellent food, the steaks are something to write home about. this is one classy restaurant. even the wc area has everything you could need and is spotlessly clean

The Set Restaurant is a must too. Huge steaks! Also the naan bread you get is enormous too.

I noticed no-one has mentioned the harmony bar, the food there is really really good, if you've never tried it you should. Then at 10pm stella comes on stage, it shouldn't be missed!

My favourites are The Chef, Majestic, Venice, Love Boat, Three Bells and Set. Only one not to try is Cavaliere.

I would have to say we love the Lighthouse, Chef and also the Love Boat. In saying that we have never had a bad meal while in Icmeler. Also love Erdem for lunch,

10 May 2007 21:07

I agree, The Lighthouse, Chef and Wayside are my favourites. Fabulous food, service second to none and very relaxing.

Phil - you're right about the toilets at the Chef - they're spotless - and have just about anything you could possibly need - even a mini sewing kit in the ladies!
Me and my friend always say "just going to do a bit of sewing" instead of "just popping to the loo"... makes them laugh anyway!
Elvis has hung a checklist on the back of each toilet door and every hour (or half hour can't remember) they're inspected and replenished as necessary!
I have yet to find loos like this in England!

10 May 2007 22:06

we stay at alvaro so we try and eat at diffrent places evry time we go out but last two years we went back to the same ones so thats why i am looking for somewhere diffrent

10 May 2007 22:10

there's plenty of posts about the Chef if you do a search, everyone seems to give a thumbs up, not one bad report on it

10 May 2007 22:13

thanks i will look to see what people say

Food at the chef is really really good, very reasonable and the service is excellent, i'd recommend you try it, you won't be disappointed.
You get the large balloon-like pitta bread with garlic butter delivered to your table on a big wooden paddle, it's free and comes garlic butter - and you can always order mezzes to go with it for a delcious starter.
It gets very busy in high season, so if I've decided to eat there on a particualr night I normally stop by on the way back from the beach and make a reservation.
Elivs and his crew are great - nothing is too much trouble.

I agree with all the comments, the Chef serves excellent food and is good value - also, they dont hassle you if you say you're going somewhere else, the staff let you go on your way after a quick chat.

I can highly recommend Vinces.

Martins peppered steak is a must! It is certainly the best pepper steak i have evert tasted!
