ICR TRANSFER

Postby ORCHID » 08 May 2007 08:14

Could anybody tell me what type of vehicles are used in the transfers? ie if there is 4 passengers we wouldnt be squashed into a little car would we?
would be grateful for a little feedback, and after paying a deposit online, do you pay the driver the rest upon your safe arrival, my husband also a little concerned about the driving as his friend says his journey from the airport to icemeler was like a death ride

When we last used ICR transfer in October last year,we travelled to Icmeler in a mini bus.We paid the driver when we arrived at our destination. The journey was smooth and had no problems with our driver and a refreshing drink was available free of charge.

Just a quick question for a friend. She has booked hotel and flights to Icmeler and was asking me about transfers and i said to try here but it doesnt say if the transfers are just for your group or are shared and she said she preferred just for them. Can anyone shed any light on this.

We have always used ICR for our transfers. As there 4 or more in our party we usually get picked up by the minibus. There is always plenty of room and have never had any complaints.

We have never paid the driver on reaching our destination. Usually pop into ICR offices to settle any outstanding money due. Not sure which is the norm but no doubt admin can confirm.

PS 12 more days and we will be off!

In respect of Payment for your transfers. Yes you can pop into the office to make payment where you will be issued with a receipt or you can pay the driver. You will be given a welcome pack and inside this pack you will find your welcome letter and payment details. It will advise you of when your rep will be calling to collect your balance or in the case of transfers only, the options to pay your driver or come to the office.

we have used icmeler on line 3 times for transfers, just the two of us and we have had a mini bus each time, there has been other people with us but they came in on same flight or near to it so was on our way pretty quick. No stop over and the journey was about 1 and 1/4 hours.
At no time did we feel that the drivers were speeding or putting us at risk,(not like the taxi drivers from tenerife airport to los americas 120/140 kph).
We have allways paid before or at the office ,not to the driver and the return journey is well organised and arrives in plenty of time for flights, collection about 4 hours before.
a excellent service, and the reason we started using icr was because once with first choice the transfer took 3 and 1/2 hours.

first time ive booked a transfer with icr but im sure it will be worth it! :)
a few years ago we did the transfer with the normal charter flight bus-it took longer to travel from dalaman to icmeler than it did to fly from glasgow-we spent 51/2 hours driving round back streets of armutalan with a driver who didnt know where he was going-never again!
last time our friends came to collect us and we booked a taxi back
private transfers are more expensive but worth every penny
roll on 21 may
i cant wait :D :D :D
