Eco-Safari

Postby romanticandi » 07 May 2007 21:38

When we first went to Icmeler in 2002, we found a great excursion called the Eco-safari. Basically it was a jeep safari, but not in a convoy of jeeps, but just about 6-8 in one jeep. The English woman who was our 'courier' took us up into the hills, told us all about the wildlife, flowers, etc. Then took us to a 'witch doctor' (although he looked like an aging hippy), who had built a house in the mountain round a tree. We spent time there, and then did a walk down the mountain track to the little village (where some of the other jeep safari's go). We then had the option to finish off our excursion at the turkish baths in Armutalan.

Whenever we have been back, we have looked for that trip again, but have never found it. (originally posted on the excursions board in the Marbas hotel). Anyway we have done the rounds of the usual jeep safari's which are great fun, and not to be missed, but we would really love to find someone that does this 'trip' again.

Any ideas?

As your name suggests you are a romantic.
WE all search for that missing link in our past memories.
we may not re-discover the past but one thing is guaranteed is the continuity of the future.
I hope you find your trip of expectation, if not you may discover another part of turkey that wins your heart .

Eco-Safari

Are you trying to get rid of me Gene? LOL

Really just wondered if anyone else had been on it, and where we could book it again.

Quite frankly I'm happy to do the ordinary jeep safari, but it's the other half who prefers the quieter more sedate pace!
