2008 season

Just booked my flights for May 22nd 2008 two weeks and August 14th 2008 for two weeks. :shock:

Going to have a look round the Demirciioglu Aparts this May when I go over with a view to booking these for May of next year.
Have read some very good reviews on the Apartments and Vinces Bar underneath.
Some may say it is to early to book for next year when we even havent got this years holidays over yet,but I just cant help myself,as soon as the flights come out, Mrs Gene makes me go out and book. :roll:

The truth will have to come out.
I had promised Ann that I would take her to Pefkos in Rhodes next year as a change from our usual Icmeler Holiday.
But as you know I went and booked my "Icmeler"

So as a form of retribution for my misdeed,she gave me Pork last evening for my tea, "knowing full well that pork makes me ill" :twisted:

So I have been up all night with indigestion.

How can one of gods wonderfull creations be so evil? :evil:

Men may say,"you shouldnt have eaten it if you knew that pork makes you ill.

Gene, you could always take her over to Rhodes on the hydrofoil for the day ........ I'm sure she will forgive you when you get to Icmeler

Was at Pefkos in Rhodes about 3 years ago, its not a patch on Icmeler, you done the right thing Gene and booked 'paradise'

Just to add to my last post now I've had time to think about it. Unless Mrs Gene likes huge (and I mean like the size of my hand) spiders, scorpions and snakes, I would definitely give Pefkos a miss. Our hotel was right on the edge of the resort nearly in the country and boy those spiders were huge Even Greg my partner was a bit wary of whacking one with his flip flop and it was actually in our room, I was screaming and jumping up and down on the bed like a right loony till he got rid of it. A couple we met said there was a snake on the stairs to their apartment and another couple we met the woman woke in the night and felt something crawling up her arm and it was a scorpion, they had a photo to prove it too - but in the photo the scorpion was splatted! Now if thats not a good enough excuse to go back to Icmeler I don't know what is.

It would be a good idea to go to Rhodes on a day trip but we are only in Icmeler 14 days so I dont really want to waste any time.
Maybe a year after next and me and the wife will discuss it again.
I try going in different Apartments when going to Icmeler to try to fox her and she may think shes in a strange resort.
But when I go in my favourite bars the deceit is blown.

Gene, is Mrs Gene a member of the forum? How many apartments have you tried over the years to fox her?
I have not heard that expression for years!!

I think its a good job she doesnt use my computor,and no Ann is not a member of ICR.
She thinks I am mentaly unstable with me keep talking about Icmeler and spending all my time on the comp.

We have been in eight different Apartments, and had several holidays in each one but I always request a different room each time, I dont want to seem predictable.

Gene... you aren't the only one who's booked for 2008... I've been in the process of booking ours for next year too.. seems ridiculous doesn't it when we haven't even been on this years yet... but no choice.. the holidays for where we want to go are getting booked up fast.. can't hang around...
Been well stressed trying to find the right accomodation but hopefully by weekend all will be sorted...

Just for curiosity... how much were your flights for next year.......? Reasonable or have they gone up?
