I've climbed it several times the easiest way I have found is to walk along the road going out of the back of
Icmeler at the bottom of the hill (mountain) shortly after passing a cemetery on the left there's a track on the right with a barrier to stop vehicles driving up. Follow this rd until it fizzles out, it leads to an electrical mast of some type. Then follow the track where other people have made the same journey to the flag. When you reach it it's surprising how much higher you can climb if you haven’t had enough of climbing already. There are loose rocks and it's could be a bit risky with small children having said that i have walked up with two of my children but they are teenagers. This year my wife is taking training shoes and going to climb up with me. The first part of the climb is straightforward and it gets steeper towards the top but only involves walking not clinging on for your life, so if you felt that it was getting too steep etc you can always turn around and come back. I would advise don't do it in flip flops like me
, wear long trousers (some prickles) wear sun cream (there’s no shade) and take a bottle of water. I was told that the owner of club sun village put the flagpole up. Good luck if you decide to go for it.
