Malibu Miracle Tan

Postby Mandy Mo » 14 Apr 2016 11:09

Hi everyone - fellow members and Icmeler lovers. I just thought I'd share this one with you, although the majority of you will probably be aware of it by now I'm sure, but I haven't seen any posts on here regarding it.

Last year I discovered this product called Miracle Tan by Malibu. It's a cream that you put on BEFORE your suncream. It helps to prevent sunburn and peeling and the tan you get is absolutely fabulous ... and seems to stay longer as well which is a bonus. I usually burn the first couple of days of exposure to the sun and then start peeling straight away! With this cream, none of this happened which made me a very happy bunny. You need to start putting it on as a daily moisturiser about 3-4 weeks before your hols - so that it gets to work (apparently it brings out the melanin in your body). And what's also good about it is you put it on after you've showered as an aftersun - dual purpose cream. I highly recommend this product - IT'S MAGIC!!

This year though, Malibu have brought out a sun cream (spf 30 & 15) which has the miracle tan incorporated in it. I've already bought two tubes to give it a go. If it's anything like the base cream it should work wonders. Watch this space!

They can be purchased at Home Bargains, B&M and I believe Savers sell it as well. The base cream itself is £2.99 and the sun cream with the miracle tan incorporated is £3.99.

Hi Mandy
Thanks for the information had never heard of this product but went to B & M today and bought two tubes. They didn't have the sun cream but will keep looking when I call in. We go in May so looking forward to trying this out.

You're welcome. I remember when I heard of it last year and thought "this can't be right!" But believe me it really does work. Remember to start using it about 3 weeks before you go as a daily moisturiser, then on your holibobs as a base for your daytime suncream and as an aftersun, and then as long as you like afterwards as well. Keep us posted on how you get on ... and have a good holiday! x 8)

I used Mircale Tan last year and it definitely worked for me. I was in Home Bargains at the weekend and they had both the sunscreen including Miracle Tan and on its own. Due to health issues I am not sure whether we will be in Icmeler this year but I would certainly buy the sunscreen if we are lucky enough to go on holiday.
I have read mixed reviews about Miracle Tan but IMO it is worth a try and for me a Turkish Bath is also a must.

Last year was my first time of using it. I only put the cream on once in the morning before going down to breakfast, and then after my shower in the evening as an after sun. I guess if you applied it throughout the day with your ordinary sun cream you'd achieve a much better colour? Worth a try at the price I suppose. :P This year I am only using the standard cream from about 3 weeks before going away as a daily moisturiser. I've got the sun cream with the miracle tan incorporated for the actual hols. X fingers. Good luck and happy hols. x

Smc4671. I'll look forward to your post with results of using these products. Although I have used the miracle tan I have never used the SP15. Happy holidays!

I have also been to home bargains and purchased the Malibu Miracle Tan cream..supplies were very low, shelves almost stripped bare. Another good one is the Calypso Once a Day, also home bargains, I've used that for the past couple of years, and being a natural red head with fair skin, I can honestly say it works. Never been burnt or sore whilst using it. Also at the low price home bargains charge it's a real BARGAIN compared to the P20/30 hubby uses on his baldy head !!

Hi Mandy Moo came back Saturday and I do believe using the miracle moistuiser helped enhance my tan. Had a couple of cloudy days and luckily the sun has come out at home so I am still using the product. Thanks for the recommendation

No problem Switchbird - glad it worked for you. At the end of the day that's what this Forum is for right? People giving hints and tips to others of their own experiences and good and bad things to look out for. We don't go til September so will start using as moisturiser early to mid August. 8)
