Any body stayed at Hotel Kent Studyo ?

Hi all we are booked into the "Hotel Kent Studyo" in June but have read some real horror stories about it, I realise it's a basic hotel and don't expect much, but would apriciate some honest feedback as getting a bit concerned after reading some of the reviews on trip adviser.

We had an on impulse week at the Kent early last July and going off last years feed back the service deteriorated during the year and got worse nearer the end of Season. While we were there, the rooms were cleaned, towels/sheets changed, so no problems there. We didn't have a fridge but heard they were arriving for other guests.
It seemed as if there was a staffing problem between pool/bar staff and Hotel staff.
I believe it is either under new management or owners, as it could be a Great hotel in a good location.
Someone may come on with more Owner/Management information..

Hi my daughter and her family stayed there last September for 2 weeks myself and my wife always stay next door at the miray we spent a lot of time at the kent because the pool area is alot better than the miray the rooms were nice having just been modernised the main problem we found was that none of the staff spoke english so there was very little interaction between guests and staff we never had anything to eat there because we all went round to blondies which is the bar attached to the miray where the family who run blondies are lovely and the meals are very good and reasonably priced my advice would be go with an open mind the rooms are clean and modern and there is so many places in that location that you don't have to spend all your time at the kent however there may well be different staff this year we are going to the miray on the 13th of may so I will go round to the kent and see what it is like this year I'm sure you will have a great holiday

I stayed in the Kent hotel last September, and it was horrendous, you can read my review on thiswebsite.There is nothing wrong with the Kent as a building, the only downside is a very very small lift, but you can cope with that. The problem was the staff, they were terrible.I think the hotel is under new managment now, so there should be no problems.Have a word with JT ON THIS FORUM, HE WILL PUT YOU RIGHT.The hotel is in a great location, and run correctly, it will be very good, so don't worry.

Hotel was great in fact brilliant feedback until September when staff walked out, no one controlling the place

This year will be different as all new staff

Hotel is in a brilliant position 2 minutes to beach, plenty of bars and night life around it.

Great pool are with sun on it all afternoon and rooms are very nice
