Beach Front

12 Jun 2015 16:36

Hi all .... Anyone know if the Sun Beds are still payable on the Beach front and if there's still a 'To your Bed' Waiter service? .... Just wondering as due to the changes I believe many of the old establishments on 'Government' Land have gone? ... Cheers  '

Beds are free as long as you buy a drink or two. Full waiter service is still provided. You can go to a beach belonging to an all inclusive and just pay for the beds if you prefer.

There are also a couple of stretches of "public beach" which have no sunbeds on them and you can simply turn up, put down your towel or whatever and sunbathe at your leisure. But yes, the other stretches are run by the various bars or restaurants and are "free" although you are expected to buy a drink or some food. Some are more laid back than others...some are worse than others for constantly pestering you to buy drinks, etc

I was led to believe that all the beach was free, you only have to pay/buy a drink if you want a sunbed.

I think the only bits you have to actually pay for upfront are the ones belonging to the likes of the Marti etc with the "cabana" type things, which you can rent for the day

The stretch of beach we used in front of the old Yakamoz was 5 lira per sunbed with brolly, you could buy your drinks were you wanted or use the service of the beach boys.

Used to be quite a few stretches of the beach like that - we used to use the bit in front of the old Bamboo just next to the canal. Nowadays we prefer the Deniz Kapisi beach. Lovely comfy sunbeds, excellent service from the staff there, but they don't keep hassling you all the time, unlike some places.
