dolmus

Postby wa66yne » 07 Apr 2007 14:39

Kitty has reminded me of a question that i have been meaning to ask since last year..... and it is this;

why does it cost 1.5tyl to travel to maramris, and 1.75tyl to travel back to icmeler????like i said they were last years prices, and they may have changed this year.

curiosity killed the cat!!!!!

I suppose its because when the dolmus gets to the top of the hill just outside Icmeler it can then freewheel all the way down into Marmaris.
Of course on its way back to Icmeler more petrol is being used because of the gentle incline. :idea: :shock: :D

I never tried the Dolmus. For some reason the just didnt look safe. And i heard you had to pass your money down to people infront of you and they passed it to people infront of them and so on till it got to the driver and then your change came back via the lines of people.

Is this true and are they safe?

dolmus

Postby denisthefish » 15 Apr 2007 19:59

there is a dolmus which appears to be run by icmeler council,this one was slightly cheaper than the normal ones,only problem here is,you could end up on a guided tour of most of the old village,not a problem unless you are in an hurry,this dolmus is slightly bigger than the others, but still the same markings,(orange stripe all round).

Omg please dont mention dolmus to me lol myself and my friend last summer were hopping to catch the last one to marmaris and we were in a little bit of a hurry so we jumped on one that did clearly state on the front "marmaris" but we never got to marmaris the bus driver pulled over and everyone got off.. myself and my friend twiddaling our fingers and wondering why he was laughin. "last stop" he was shouting n we were like :shock: He was going to leave us in the middle of a dark alley so we refused to get off and the lovley driver took us back to icmeler and kindly put us on the right one aww big thanks to him if anyone has heard this tale lol!!
