Sidik's Family Restaurant

23 Aug 2014 13:41

Hello Icmelerites, can anyone tell me if Sidik's place is still in business. I just noticed that no-one has really mentioned them and I'm worried they are gone.

Sidiks has been mentioned on a couple of other sites so should still be operating. Lovely place to spend an evening.

Yes they are stil there we went in june , but we were all disappointed, the men in our party said the beer was draught even tho they ordered bottled, it came in a bottle but they said it was draught , we complained and they said we were wrong. Also the service was poor we waited nearly 1hr to be served, may be that is why it hasn't been mentioned much, we have been many times before and it was good, but we won't be going back. :( :(

We have visited Sidiks several times on different visits to Icmeler. Must say that we have always been very happy with food, drinks and service. We have taken friends there and they have been very impressed too.Sidik and Eddie are fantastic genuine people and can't do enough for you. They are always very friendly even if we are just passing and not actually eating there. :D

We had two lovely meals there this year. Can't count one of them I suppose as it was the leg of lamb which doesn't get cooked by the chef at the restaurant. We found that the welcome, service etc was as good as ever and will definitely be going there next year. As for the comments on the restaurant I have noticed that forum members are not giving feedback in the Guestbook section for some reason.

We have been going to Icmeler for about fifteen years and only tried this gem of a restaurant for the first time in June - twice. I cannot speak highly enough of it. Fantastic, great food , great value and a charming family. Will be top of our list when we return.

We went to Sidik's in July/August. We couldn't fault it in any way. Food and service, as always, were top notch. We will be going again next year and the year after.................

Brilliant, thankyou. I had mentioned the restaurant on another review site and got some answers but on here I get a better response. I'm glad the place is still there and that Sidik and Eddie are still their happy selves. Can't wait to take my friend there now to meet them and enjoy their food.

We went in May/June and had the leg of lamb. Now I can eat well, but goodness me I was stuffed, without a starter either. It was beautiful, it fell apart and was succulent and full of that wonderful flavour. The service was top notch. I will have no hesitation In going again in Sept/Oct. I didn't have a beer but the wine we had was nice and of decent quality.
Still as they say one man's meat is another man's poison.

David.

I have also had their wine there too. The red was lovely. Some wines in Turkey I have found to be really quite awful.
