Flights For 2015

Postby steveyvonne » 16 Aug 2014 12:48

Would appreciate any advice please from all you wise people on this excellent forum :D

Looking around at flights for next July & all appear to be averaging about £800 for 2 adults return with 1 lot of hold luggage each.

Never booked flight only before so just wondering if these are likely to be the best prices I can expect to find now or should I hang on & see if maybe I will get a lower price?

Looking for flights giving us 14 nights leaving 23 to 26 July returning 6 to 9 August 2015 from Manchester or any other northern airport.

Thanks..

Hi steveyvonne, we got flights from EMA with Thomas Cook from 11/7/2015 till the 26th around £290 ish, but that inc meals (going out) booked our seats and hold luggage, it would have been cheaper without the seats and meals. I hope this helps, good luck.

Hi , Booked flights from N/castle Dalaman return with Jet2. Hotel & transfer with I.C.R 2 weeks in Sep. Total cost £663-92 for 2 adults. Shop around before you press press the last button. Cheers from Geordie- Mafia

Thanks for the replies, far better prices than I seem to be finding.
I will keep looking & fingers crossed I should get a better deal as well.
Steve.

Try the website, www.skyscanner.com, who compare flight prices. As a guide Easyjet flights are usually quite well priced especially if you get in just as flights area released. Contact Easyjet to find out when flights area released. Jet2 are generally the cheapest after that

I tried Skyscanner initially & for the cheapest flights it always directs me to book through Opodo which reading the reviews online are a bit mixed.

I have just found a Monarch return flight from Manchester on the 23rd July with decent times, 23kg each, online check in & choose our own seats for £755 + 4.5% credit card fee.

Jet 2 all seem to be above the £800 mark, dont know wether to take a chance & hang on for the Easyjet flights which I have read will be released in October or just take the plunge with the Monarch deal :?

If you get in the same day the easyjet flights are released it should be a reasonable price. From what I understand it is also good to book around early December and also about 10 weeks before you go. Maybe ask ICR to keep an eye out for you for decent prices

I would always recommend Sky Scanner but I have managed to find flights on E-dreams. Really good prices. I did this for this year too and did two one way bookings which could have proved risky but in my case, bargain! :D
