We used the Wembley Bar to change our money last year and probably will this year as we are close by. He has a sign out the front advertising the rate so you know before you go in what the rate is.

If we could predict the rate we would be rich, if this weeks GDP and employment figures are good it may go up, if they are bad it may go down.

Before I left Icmeler two weeks ago I changed £500 at 2.92 for my return visit on the 30th September, I am happy with that rate as it is the best we have had since we started going in 2002.

If it is still good when we are there I may change a £1000 for next years holiday.

We got 1 last year at the bar diagonally across from the Wembley and it was disappointing to say the least...

Wow!! The rate just seems to get better and better! We're away on Thursday....i'm sorry if this is a bad thing for Turkey, but I hope it at least stays around that mark. That's an extra 350YTL per £1000 on what we got last year......mucho beer! :D

Wow Caltonian. Sounds a lot when you put it that way. Much more than we were getting earlier in the year. Enjoy your honeymoon and I look forward to your post/review.

Catalonian, I don't think it's a bad thing for Turkey. The good rate is due to the £ being strong, not because TL is weak. Probably a good thing if it means people spend more Lira!
