Where are all the reviews

Just an observation, we are now into over two months of the season and very few reviews are being posted, please take time to post a review, thanks to those who have done so.

Come on people get those fingers dancing on the keyboard and let us know what you did, what you enjoyed, what you disliked.

I know what you mean, I updated the gallery with my pictures and for ages it stayed as my name being the most recent. Same with many posts, my name stays the most recent. Shows not many people are making many comments.

Perhaps something to do with all the 'Icmeler' facebook pages and facebook groups.

I know I've joined a few and have trouble keeping up with all the new posts and threads etc...

I will be doing a review (and hopefully a blog) - just not sure where to post it yet? Only joking - of course it will be on here as well as some of the other Icmeler related forums & pages (I'll try not to upset anyone lol) but I suspect a lot of my reviews and blog entries will be copy-paste jobs as there's no way I'm gonna re-type the same stuff over & over for differrent groups/pages/forums/threads etc.

But I agree, there is not nearly as many updates on here lately. Even after a weekend off the forum I can catch up in 10-15 minutes on a Monday morning whereas this time last year it took much longer to go through all the new threads and posts...

I posted a similar comment about a month ago and since then there have only been around 3 reviews. I really enjoy reading other peoples experiences good or bad. The information given can help decide if a place/trip is worth going to or which restaurants and bars are good

To be honest I have also noticed a bit of a drop in the number of posts as well. This of course may be due to Facebook pages. I did join one but gave up after a week it was just not as friendly/ informative as on here.

So come on folks shre your experiences and piccies

As I see it and have done for many years and I am someone that does not use facebook for chatting but merely to play a game to while away the minutes

This is a forum where information is given and STORED

Facebook though I suppose is a place you could get info is in my opinion a chat/gossip page where lots of inane comments are given every few seconds

The reason being able to happen is that nothing is stored

On a forum we pay for space and if facebook was the same then it would not happen in the format that it is in

You post something on facebook, go make cup of tea and when you come back it could take you a day to find it

It has its merits same as other things do but not for me nor many other people

ive put reviews on here and they've been moved and locked,perhaps folks don't want them locked so they can ask questions

Good question and its been a very long time since someone even asked why they are locked

You never asked though, you merely made a statement

For all the newish members that have only been here for the past 4 years or so here is the reason that ALL are locked

They are what they say, they are a persons review, their opinion on their holiday in the sun and in it they make certain comments and as we are all different and all have different views on life we all have different opinions.

We decided to lock them all after people with a different outlook of a certain hotel or bar or maybe a boyfriend works at a certain bar and didn't provide the service they expected so then the review turned into a slanging match and we would spend days clearing up threats and swearing and all sorts

So when you post a review it is your opinion and is locked

No problem, I enjoyed writing it! Plus I used this forum so much in the run up to the holiday it would be rude not to share my experiences. My photos are up now, one thread with general pics and one for the food Enjoy.
