All Inclusive Boat Trip - Friday 2nd August

Postby dksbbs » 25 Jun 2013 12:29

I've booked 12 places (Four Families) on the AI Boat Trip with ICR for Friday 2nd August but it needs a full boat to be booked so if you fancy joining us get booking on line. Looking forward to a good day out.

Sorry Dave but whilst browsing I found a cheaper AI boat trip at £12 each so will probably go with them - saving us £18 between 3 of us. Will probably still be doing the Akyaka trip through ICR so will pop in when in resort.

No problem, for £12 a head I would expect the boat to be packed and not everyone will have a sunbed, Did that in 2002 and spent the whole day stuck downstairs.

Dave its a shame that the person who suggested it has decided to go for the cheaper Russian/Bulgarian orientated boat and I know that you were looking forward to a private more sedate day out, so I will now do my best to make sure you get a private trip just for your gang and I will join you too if you don't mind, in fact if we can switch this to the Sunday the whole office may join you

No need to be like that JT, I didn't want to go on the 2nd really, the 4th would have been better, and Dave, I've been informed that the company only book enough people for the sunbeds. If you decide on the 4th then I will go with ICR.

We too were invited on this particular boat trip. Up until now I hadn't committed us to it. Glad I didn't as we would have been let down. :( Have been coming to Icmeler since 2008 and I have to agree with Dave, that if you want something a little special or different then you have to pay a little extra for it. Well done ICR. JT to the rescue yet again.

We would love to join you either 2nd or 4th August. Let us know and we'll book it either online or in resort. ICR trips always fantastic value for money and a good time had by all. In resort Tuesday 30th July. Hope to see all the ICR staff on the trip. Keep us posted x Cheryll

I have informed John that we are happy to move it to the Sunday if that means the office girls can come, for me the more the merrier as long as we each have a sunbed which I know will be the case.

I am sure once he is back in Turkey he will confirm dates.

He may well be back in Turkey. Somewhere!! He could probably do with a break. He's been busy making (and drinking) home brew for the past couple of months...never did get my sampler!! (Despite providing the bottles!) We'd be up for this trip, I reckon, as we don't speak Bulgarian or Russian ( :D ) I'll follow the thread to keep up with the plans.
Cheers folks,

We made the mistake of going on a different AI boat trip this year (not an ICR one) and all I can say is - never again! We were the only British people on the boat - the majority of the rest being Russians - and while I hate to generalise, they were the rudest, most arrogant people I have ever met. The boat was crammed full - probably twice as many people as there were sunbeds - the food was crap and it was a complete and utter waste of a day. ICR trips all the way for us in the future - worth every penny!!!

And a word of warning, Justin - yes, we too were assured when booking this trip that everyone was guaranteed a sunbed. Well, so much for that...I hope your experience turns out to be better than ours.

Hey Fitz

You knew I rushed out to Icmeler as I heard that George Duffet was on deaths door in the hospital and when I got there today he was sitting on the hospital balcony smoking his head off and looking healthier that a spring lamb

That is why I never dropped bottles off but for that reason there is 67 bottles of wine that are now maturing in the shed and will be fantastic at Xmas for you

I will get onto looking for a boat for this trip later this evening

I have found us a boat, same captain in Marmaris that we have used for many years and some of you will remember him

He has a boat for us which has to be booked before this weekend as he will hold it to then for me

As it is private and none of our East European friends allowed the price has to change

£20 per head for the boat

No one else on it except for our forum members.

Money has to be in this weekend

20 people minimum or it wont go and 35 maximum

I will have 2 friends of mine on it (non forum members) who arrive to visit me on the 1st August

Jill get your money in

Anyone else care to join us

Bring your own music if you like

Bring your own entertainment

It is your day out

Thanks John, I have paid the difference for my group.

So the boat trip is now on Sunday 4th August, we have 15 people confirmed, who else is going to join us for a nice relaxing day out.

I made a slight mistake, there are 14 confirmed so we need at least six more people.

Dill, Fitz do you still fancy going?

Hi Dave / John,

We have booked the excursion through the website on the BBQ bay trip? (only one that we could find).

We didn't know how to pay the full price of £20 each so have only paid £36, hope this will be ok. We will drop the £4 off at the office on arrival if this is ok with you John.

Have booked transfers.

Thanks for your help. 3 weeks 4 days and counting.
