The Waterfall Reastaurant/Oscar's Fun Pub

Hi all I am not pulling the Waterfall down I think it is a fantastic restaurant, we were really impressed last year, but after this year we were really disappointed at it. It seems really strange that it was not just us that night who had bad meals, as I said before the table next to us sent a total of eight meals back and they had a real big argument with the waiters which I thought was a bit below the belt. We said nothing as we did not want to offend the waiters. Will try again next year.

I agree with you totally ... plus I've also been talking to a friend who happens to be a doctor in the Accident and Emergency and he reckons that it is practically impossible for a "bad meal" to take effect so quickly ... in the case of food poisoning they are always interested in what you have consumed in the previous 24 hours not the last 10 mins!!

Like you I am probably biased about the Waterfall ... and the waiting time really has never been a problem for any of us ... after all ... we're on holiday and in no rush to get anywhere ....well ... apart from the bar!!!!

As for what I'd risk waiting for ... the Beef Stroganoff .... MMMMM!!!! Roll on Sep!!!! & the Salmon ... it is absolutely delicious ... can taste it already!!!

Thanks Collette, I was not trying to pull the Waterfall down I was just writing about our experience at the Waterfall and everyone got on their high horses and thought I was pulling it down.

Can we not have any more responses to my post I think we should lay it to rest now.

I just thought I'd let everyone know that the Waterfall will be opening on the 1st of May!!!

I will be there as one of the first customers!!! I'm particularly looking forward to the BEEF STROGANOFF mmmmmm!!!

I love Oscars and the Waterfall, also love the Pop Inn - Oscar moved there last year.

Can you pm me when you come back to let me know if all the usual guys are there - Jpsh, Mehmet (waterfall) Mehmet (Oscars) Jim Carey etc... Also heard Martin might be back this year as he was in the army last year.

I'm not going till 23rd June!

We go back to icmeler for the 5th time this year on 22nd of June.
Can't wait! I go every year with Bev who is also on the forum & our partners. We all love the waterfall restaurant its outstanding! The food & service are supberb! The friendly staff make the atmosphere great!

Every night we always go to the fun pub toot, the music & staff are amazing!

Looking forward to seeing everyone again this year!

Heet and Breeze is directly facing the Waterfall/Oscars, it is a hotel and restaurant that is run by Lee (ex venice) so i guess Josh will be going into partnership with him after all.

Waterfall has got to be one of my all time favourites in Icmeler!!! Live year round for the stroganoff (and now the fish ... specially the seabass!!!!).

Celal has had his second baby congratulations to him and his wife xx I hope that the other customers that were scared off last year and thought it wasnt a nice place because of the antics that were going on come back and give them all a second chance. I've read your post a few times trying to work it out I have now realised what/who you were talking about. I don't know of any other customers that were scared off but your right everything will be just perfect here this season. I hope to finally meet your family properly this year too.

I just got back from Icmeler and can reveal there are a few changes and special touches added to the restaurant this year including that delicious inflatable bread (sorry don't no the name of it) to be served complimetary before a meal mmmmmmm!! can't wait!

While I was there I had the pleasure of holding Celal's new baby boy named Baran. He is sooooooo adorable.

Cant wait to get back out there in May!!

Sorry for late response, I'm glad you realised what I was referring to as it wasn't a pretty sight. Also glad that they have added some new touches, should be great. As you know my sister keeps in regular contact with Mehmet and Metin and you have already been introduced to all my family. No doubt you will see them all as they are going out for 5 weeks soon. I'm glad everything is going well for them all, can't wait to see the baby.
