Well that's the recipe I was brought up with

Then you put in some potatoes and a few more bits and bobs and you call it Scouse Stew :) ha ha

Surely Scouse or Lobscouse is made with beef, lamb or both and definitely does not have lentils or bacon!

Can anyone give me directions to this restaurant coming from De Ja Vu please?

I think people could be getting a bit confused

I have see the word "restaurant" mentioned a few times but I think it should be classed as a Turkish kitchen with home food or as the Yanks would call it "soul food"

McDonalds call their establishments Restaurants and I wouldn't even call what they sell food

Yemek Evi = Food House so Turkish Kitchen is probably best.

That's what I had thought of it as being, to be honest - a Turkish kitchen. Looking forward to trying it!

Hi janeypoos,
From Deja Vu, head towards Wembley bar, at the junction turn left towards the beach, pass the 3/4 Bells, and the "Turkish Kitchen" will be on your right, just before the main road.

If you read the rest of this thread there are a lot of posts describing where it is. If you still can't place it, give details of where you do know and someone will give directions.

I agree with you Molly.
I make my lentil soup with Lentils(of course) potato cut into chunks, and carrots half of them grated and the other half in chunks. I use swiss veg bullion and bring it to the boil then simmer for about 1/2 hour then I use a potato masher on it so that there is still some chunky bits left. MMMMMMMM canny whack it. :D :D

Since the topic of this thread seems to have developed a sub-topic about soup    , does anyone have an electric soup maker? - absolutely fab!! 20 mins, chunky or smooth & you're rocking :P

Sorry, I have and aren't familiar with any of the landmarks posted!

How about from the square with the fountains? Or Waterfall restaurant?

From the square walk towards the old village (away from the beach). Go straight over at the crossroads past Migros and carry on for 100 yards, just before the Three (4) Bells and Timo Pizza you will see it on your left.
