hi all. I may have posted this before. i am due some new glasses very soon so was wondering whether to try and get some on resort. has any one done this and how much compared to uk prices. I am looking for varifocles +reactions anti scratch +eyetest.. thanks for you help in advance

I had an eye examination in Turkey a few years ago and bought glasses, which were much cheaper than here. Sorry can't recall the price but a word of warning - I had the misfortune to break a lens and the optician here said it could not be replaced with the same type as in Turkey they use a different type. I could have had a lens put in but was concerned the difference would be noticeable therefore proved not to be cost effective.
