xmas transfer

Postby Bigdaddydawg » 07 Dec 2012 20:17

Can anyone recommend who we should use for a transfer for two people from Icmeler to Antalya airport on Sunday 23rd December.?
I'm not sure if ICR are still doing transfers so late.
Thanks in advance. :)

We work 24/7 but that would not be cost affective and would cost you a fortune

I would suggest getting the bus from Marmaris coach station

You wont be alone as there will no doubt be lots of people doing it and is quite easy

I remember last year and unless the transfer companies could fill the bus it was a lot of money and rightly so as its a minimum 5 hour journey there and back

Thanks John,
That's not a bad idea. I didn't think about getting the bus.
Any idea on what the fare would be.?

I understand exactly what you're saying Peli and I wholeheartedly agree with you, but in reality you very rarely get a driver who understands English so he wouldn't know what documents you were asking for, but even if he did the chances of us knowing what Turkey's motor insurance documents look like let alone understanding them are extremely remote.
It would be better if they had to display their public liability section of their insurance on the cab dashboard, preferably in english , so it could be seen clearly by passengers.

ALL our vehicles have by law got to display the agency card in the windscreen which has the agency number displayed.

Fly by nights which were companies that went bust this year, last year and the year before who charged prices that were way, way below a realistic amount to stay afloat, well I do not know what type of documentation they had or if there were taxes paid or they had overheads but they are bust for a reason

The ones I wonder about or I should say the thing I wonder about the most is when a company called for instance B to C transfers (Ihope there isn't one) takes your money for a transfer then gives it to another company that they may not have a contract with but make say a £1 per person on it, then that company does exactly the same

If the worst happens and there is an accident, maybe just injuries or maybe even death, who then do you make your claim off.

Turkish courts are not the quickest in the world and would probably take 10 years before something came out of it that said no doubt sorry company is gone or the other company wasn't insured

Book with a company you can trust

Completely agree, JT (and I'm not just saying that because it's you :D ). We had to check out transfer prices for my daughter earlier this year and some were ridiculously cheap, too cheap, in fact. I'd rather pay that bit more for peace of mind, knowing that everything is above board and safe.

The Pamukkale Coach from Marmaris to Antalya is 50 lira and that includes refreshments on the bus. If you pop to the office they have in Marmaris the gentleman in there speaks English and he will get your tickets booked for you and there is a service bus from Icmeler to the bus station in Marmaris (usually half hour before the coach leaves)

Hi mary,
Found this in Technical,,,,
you need to go into your User Control Panel, look for the "board preferences tab" and tick the box that says Users can contact me by e-mail: then press submit
That is how you enable the pm facility on your profile, The User Control Panel is at the the top left side of the page.

Steve

Note to self ,,,, Check read posts made by phone.

Hi Mary,
If you're having difficulty setting up the pm facility you can just click on the envelope symbol on the far right of this post. That I'll enable you to send an e mail privately to me with your e mail address. I will reply directly back to you and we can go from there. Only if you are OK with that, if not please don't worry about it.
Regards,
