Totally agree Sylvia, I've never known this forum to be so quiet, is everyone hibernating? Even the voting for the photo competition is very low considering the number of members there are. C'mon everyone waken up

Not sure when we'll be going yet - I've got a special birthday coming up next year and we're planning to maybe take in Istanbul and maybe a couple of other places as well as Icmeler

That sounds interesting, would love to go to Istanbul and I see they've just started flights from Edinburgh...maybe a nice long weekend destination.

We're off to Istanbul just before xmas. Amazing city! I'm not a city person at all, but I love Istanbul. So much to see and do. It's the perfect winter break, then it doesn't seem so long until we get back to Icmeler in May.

Peli

As you are a member of this forum also why don't you start a daily thing in the photo section with a photo here and there as I will not be in Icmeler until at least February 2013 so you can be this winters roving reporter

I must warn you though, if you do not do it daily whether it be photo's of Icmeler or even a fly crawling on the worktop then people (including myself ) will get a bit peeved

I hope you know what you have left yourself in for

Peli good luck with your pics, hope you do it every day though and don't cheat by putting old pics on 8) or you will get sussed

It will give you a reason to get out every day, or you could even pop over to the dogs home and take a dog for a walk, good excercise for you and a good deed for the day to boot

I have done it myself for the past few years from Icmeler and did think of asking one of my ex pats friends there to carry on for me as I don't think Bob and Marnie who normally do it for me are back in Icmeler.

Ok yes you post on your "smaller intimate forum" Peli and I will ask someone to get it started on here

Ok, so does that mean you won't be doing it on here peli?

I do hope someone takes the job, I would do it myself if I lived out there which I don't of course :(
Looking forward to some info and pics throughout the winter months and into the start of 2013, I on the otherhand will still be on here with any gossip I hear and my normal two pence worth until I can truly report on my first visit in May. :D

When the time is right I am perfectly capable of posting them on here myself.

There was no intent to disrespect you, and if you read my question in that way i apologise.

I look forward to reading your winter update on either site.
