Marmaris flooded?

Just heard on the news that Marmaris is flooded due to heavy rain!
Only caught the last seconds of the story!
Hoping everyone is ok out there!

Just to put your minds to rest, Marmaris was not flooded, yes we have had 4 days with rain, but nothing major. We are now back to 30 degrees with blues skies and no rain in sight.

When I saw the post I thought it strange

Visions of flooding of biblical proportions came to mind, Elaine and her friends high on the mountains building boats of various descriptions to escape the deluge

To be fair i thought it strange after seeing it on the news!
As after putting it on here I googled it and could see nothing about it!
Just wondering if there's another place in turkey with a similar name to Marmaris? Maybe marmara or something like that?
It did show roads totally flooded!'

Yes it may have been somewhere near the Black sea region
