AQUA HOTEL

Postby kayterry » 20 Sep 2012 05:40

We are looking at Aqua Hotel A/I for 2013. Noticed that they are offering Standard room run of house.
Can anyone tell me what that means please?
Thanks

Very small percentage of Russian guests when we were there last month - 5% maybe !!

Polish, quite a few families, not many Germans, found that surprising!

A few French - first time I've heard French spoken in Icmeler!

What a cosmopolitan resort !

really good holiday and the hotel and staff members were brilliant!

Umut in the restaurant, Urtan outside in the entertainments bar at night - good people doing a great job!

Thank you acko338 for sharing your experience at the Aqua Hotel.
We have more or less made our minds up that this is where we would like to stay in Icmeler. It will be our 40th wedding anniversary in June 2013 and we thought it would be nice to have a bit more luxury this time. I just hope it is as good as all the reviews say it is.

Thanks again

Kay - we're a married couple - 58 and 55, been there three times - always been a great trip and enjoyed the hospitality and hard working staff members.

All the little surprise things here count - and don't forget to tell them in advance of your special occasion!

The Italian a al carte is to die for !!

Enjoy your time there !!

Acko338 - Thank you for your recent post. I hope you don't mind me asking you a few questions.

Is it one alacarte meal per stay? If so, can we pay a cover charge & eat there more often if we want to?
We've only done A/Incl once before in Gumbet but they only had buffet meals.

Is Icmeler really busy in June? We visited icmeler a few years ago while staying in Marmaris but I can't remember if it was busy or not. I did not enjoy Marmaris, it was manic & we were wishing we had booked for Icmeler instead!
The reason I am asking is because we went to Altinkum once around the middle/end June and it was packed everywhere as it was the turkish holidays or so we were told. We were thinking of going around 1st June for 2 weeks also trying to avoid the uk school holidays.

I am a non swimmer so hoping the pool has a shallow end, can you tell me if it has?

We know we need to book very soon so your help/advice would be very much appreciated.
Thank you
Kay

hi, my wife and i have stayed in the aqua for the last 2 years and will be back again next year, stayed 6 to 16 june this year the weather was fantastic and while the hotel was full we always got a sunbed round the pool. The pool is shallow enough to stand and the hotel has its own section of beach. The selection of food and drink is very good and the a la carte fish resteraunt is second to none.
we did eat out a few times (try chef next door to loveboat) and did not find icmeler too busy.

JT - offices upstairs - where is your entrance?

Couldn't suss out at night where to go??

Looking for Aqua September prices next year

Kay, 1 free a la carte per holiday - yes , you can pay to go in more times!

1 deep side, 1 shallow side, kids left to hang by the steps is my only little moan - take them to their own pool , please !

So ready to go back again next year !!

Thank you so much for taking the time to answer my questions.
I am pleased to hear the pool has a shallow end and that we might not have the problem of obtaining a poolside sunbed that they have at so many places. Sounds like we won't have that problem at the beach either.
We like things reasonably lively but not 'manic' so happy to hear it was not too busy in June.

I think you have helped to make our minds up so thank you once again for your input.
Have you already booked for next year?

Regards
Kay

Thank you once again for your help with my questions. To some people they may seem trivial but to us they are important.
So pleased that we can pay to use the a la carte more times if we want to. We have been reading posts on this forum about all the excellent restaurants in Icmeler so we might well give one or two of them a try aswell.

Pleased about the shallow side of pool so that's one less worry for me.

Re- kids hanging about the pool steps, we've seen this before & we always wonder why some parents ignore this.
We like children, we have 4 grandchildren, but we are 58 & 62 now so when we go on holiday alone we like it to be as child free & relaxing as possible, hence the reason we want to go at the beginning of June before the school holidays.
Do you book a 'package' holiday through ICR, or accomodation & flights/transfer separately?

Regards

If we decided to go to the Aqua, are you able to arrange accomodation, flights & transfers, or just accomodation?
