Sunseeker that is not a weather REPORT it is a FORECAST
Icmeler 10th July 2012 13:30
Yesterday a lot of clouds appeared in the afternoon but it didn't come to anything as today they have all gone and we are back to the normal blue skies and warm day
Last night the temperature was really high and must have kept a lot of people from sleeping normally as it was so sweaty
Today 50 degrees in the sun and 36 degrees in the shade

hahaha no I am not shouting but lots of people are reading the forecast (ask them can they forecast the lottery numbers as UK weathermen cant forecast the weather)
I was reading on another forum a while back that the temperature in the sun is not the true reading, so does that mean if I am sitting on the beach without a sun shade and my temperature gauge says its 49 then it isn't, rubbish, if it says its 49 and its in my face then its 49

John, did your garden thermometer ever recover from it's 50+ episode. I notice there have been no pics of it since

I can forecast lottery results - I'm just not greedy

I imagine what they meant was that the temperature in direct sun isn't what they use on forecasts - it's always taken in the shade, but like you - I also want to know what temperatures to expect when sunbathing....

The point is the temperature taken in the shade cant be on a forecast as it has yet to be taken
Thermometer finished but still here for people to see if they want

Maybe time to invest in a digital weather-station lol - actually if I remember correctly was it you that got one from Argos and was saying rain even in 40+ temperatures

Too hot at the moment here in
Icmeler with temperatures in the shade at 36 and as the thermometer I had in the sun has died I can only guess that it must be near 50 degrees in the sun

Don't be silly John, it can never be too hot on holiday (within reason) - I do appreciate however, you are working in that heat
