Late season info

Postby Ross1954 » 03 Jul 2012 08:09

We have just booked a sneaky second holiday to Icmeler, having already enjoyed our normal visit at the end of May. We our going on September 26th for 2 weeks (got a deal online I couln't resist  ). Was wondering what the weather was likely to be at that time of year and will all the bars still be open?

We always go late September/October and find the weather very similar to May, can be cool in the evenings and maybe some showers but lovely in the day. Everywhere is open and there are bargans to be had from the shops as they know they are not going to get many more customers, so haggle.

Late September - very similar to early May, nice during the day, sometimes a shower or two, bit nippy in the evening. October - cor, it's chilly on a night, definitely take a cardi and consider something more than sandals, my feet were so cold last year I had to buy some uggs!

I went at the end of September last year and thought it was hot!
We normally go in October which is just right for us.
We had lovely weather until the last day when it rained.
I only wore a cardigan one night so hoping to go back the same time this year but for 3 weeks.
Can I ask where you found the offer?

I convinced my wife, children, and a big bunch of in laws that September 17th would be a good time to go.
I'm a bit jittery now, because i'm worried the weather won't be so good.
I suppose like everyone else we are looking for assurances that everything will be absolutely fantastic and the weather still terrific.

Ive book 2nd September in 2013.

We have been going mid September for the last 14 years and the bulk of the time has been glorious weather. However early October can be prone to some spectacular thunderstorms which only last a few hours, it is still warm though and it soon clears.Jim
