Calling noodles

Postby alexkeirmaxmum » 21 Jun 2012 06:59

Hi there,

after reading noodles' review my hubby and sons would really like to go fishing in Icmeler. My hubby is an old pro though and I don't do fishing :? would you say that Savas boat would suit us?

Thanks

Hiya

My opinion - yes - we've been on his boat with what I would call proper fishermen (they talk the same language my Dad does!), one that went marlin (sp?) fishing the year before in the carribean, kids that have never done it before, adults that have never done it before...

My first trip I went along to sit on the boat and get a tan, but a fishing rod was thrust into my hand by Mrs Savas who encouraged me to just have a go, she baited my hooks first time and showed me how to cast. It was great! We've been on many others since and they just give you a rod and leave you to it, on Savas boat they are friendly, helpful and like to see that everyone is having a good time - and they have the cutest alsatian puppy too!

Thanks for getting back so quickly :D Sounds perfect.

Just a couple of questions....Is the boat pick up from Marmaris? and where do I book it? Also did you take any pics of the boat/trip? Sorry to pick your brain so early in the morning but we will be there 2nd July and this is one trip the whole family (not the three teenage girls though) are looking forward to

Thanks again

I think most trip booking places will have it, if it says fishing, just ask if it's savas boat. We book ours at the one 2 doors up from Cupids (up towards the square, next to sunglasses and watch shop) - Unicorn restaurant used to be next door but it's a clothes store now. The boat goes from Marmaris, they pick you up from your accomodation around 9am and take you over there. I'm pretty sure they'll bring you back too but we always wander off round Marmaris on the way back and have a bit of a mooch round.

I've got tons of pictures, I'm working my way to putting them in an online album to share but it takes ages on my connection, I'll see if I can do a seperate one for the fishing and post the link tonight for you.

(Hope there's some fish in July!!)

Getting soo excited now, sounds great and I might even get peace to read a book if the boys are occupied.

Will look for it as soon as we are settled and if you can manage to post the photos even better.

Thanks again noodles :D :D
