Hi

Have never been to Marmaris Castle in all the years we've been to Ish. Where is the entrance? and is it really worth a visit??

Visited the Castle many years ago. The entrance was in the little square and the views from the top were super - well worth a look. Hope you enjoy :D

when you get near to the castle there are signs directing you. it is up a small hill, we went year before last, if i remember it is a couple of tl to get in. not a very big castle but nice, with some good views of the harbour and the big cruise ships. be aware that they blow the horn on the ship to get the passengers back on board, and if your in the castle when it goes of you will s**t yourself

Marmaris Castle is in the Marina area of Marmaris, you get there by going up narrow streets.

It's open every day except Mondays - and you've got to visit the little shop near the castle run by "Mama Castle". She's a lovely woman - but I defy you to visit her shop and not spend anything! :D

If you're in that direction, I suggest you give Castle Bar a visit, as the views from the rooftop are breathtaking. We were told that this was the highest viewpoint in Marmaris. We always go there as the sun is just going down over Icmeler. Don't venture up if you have a dodgy heart, as you have to climb up about seventy steps or more to get up there. However, the view at the top is beautiful, and you can stay and have an Efes or two when you get to the top.
