Hi all first post on this site.Me and my wife are staying at the EDA hotel from the 21st of june for 11 nights and i was wondering what it is like. I know its only a 2* as we only paid £800 for 11 nights b+b so we dont expect the hilton.

Stayed there twice last year - my review of July is here - viewtopic.php?f=31&t=14088. The location is brilliant, Mama and Papa are lovely. If you're ok with a smaller room then the top floor is better as you don't get the noise from above (til they go on the roof to clear the tanks!) and it's better away from the lift end as it's quite noisy. It's very basic, but it's ok as a base. Food is good if you decide to eat there.

You have hit lucky, We are in Icmeler at present, and the sun is up and not a cloud to be seen yet.
As for the Eda, we have stayed there twice and know the manager, Engin, well and his family, Mumma, Pappa and Ersin, they will look after you well, the hotel is very central and not far from the town center and the beach.
As you have probably read on here the town is thought of as home by the people who come back year after year, the Turkish people are very welcoming, the town is mainly shut during the winter and all building and refurbs have to be finished by May, also all loud music has to be off by 12 midnight, this is strictly adhered to.
I am sure that you will have a fantastic holiday, you will be very surprised when you re-visit that the people remember you and usually your name, don't ask me how they do it, we have been coming now twice a year for the past 8 years and would not go anywhere else, so be prepared to get the Icmeler bug like the rest of us. if you are coming with ICR then all the better, they will look after you if you have any problem.

Enjoy it all Cityfan but next time please give us a call as we could have saved you £250+ on what you paid but never mind it is done now

Agree with all George has said. We have stayed at the Eda and also the Esenkoy, which was the hotel run by the same family before they took over the Eda. Engin and Ersin and their parents are all lovely people and as George says, they will do everything to make sure you enjoy your holiday. You will love Icmeler - but be warned, it is addictive!
We always said we would never go back to the same place on holidays - but that was before we discovered Icmeler, and we've been going back twice a year for the past several years. It has a charm all of its own, and the people are so welcoming and friendly.
