New Bamboo staff

Postby eck2go » 23 May 2012 13:20

Just to let you all know, I walked past the bamboo last night, the guy at the front was very pleasant. He was not abusive at all. We said no thanks, he gave us a leaflet and wished us a good evening and said he hoped we had a nice holiday. The place was quite full and a lady inside said she had a lovely meal. I just thought that you all should know that the owner has done his stuff. God I love this place.

Good to hear. Disgraceful behaviour previously, but fair play to the manager, he's listened and responded and hopefully all is well again. Can't ask for more than that.

That's good to hear.
Hopefully those currently in icmeler an those that are going (us included), will give The Bamboo the benefit of the doubt and try and also review the place.
Would be a shame for anyone to go out of business due to one bad egg!

My son was in Icmeler last week and said he went in bamboo a couple of times and no problems even though he did have trouble with the guy on the door when it was dreamboys about 4 years ago

i find this quite odd, a few weeks ago this place was absolutely no go but now is all happy and dandy? and also the thread which had all the people complaining about the new bamboo has been deleted!

One positive comment is not going to fix a bad reputation epecially one that has had a bad reputation for years, unfortuately it's the location that will be remembered, not what the place is called or whether it has new owners.

I for one hope that things have changed and I look forward to more positive comments being posted, I then may consider eating there next time I visit Icmeler, however if they still overuse the strobe light we will have to give it a miss due to my wifes light sensitivity.

If nothing else, I hope the thread by Tracey serves to reassure people that they don't have to give that area of the canal a wide berth. It would be a shame if that whole area of the canal suffered as a result, and maybe what has happened will remove the aggresiveness that many people seem to feel when they pass the new Bamboo.
