Best place for a kebab

Hubby wants to try a traditional Turkish kebab from take away or restaurant, this time round, anyone got any ideas of where the best place to go is?? Thanks.

The one we have used for years is the Antokiya take away just past the Florida bar

we were staying at the Dilhan a few years ago and there was one on the main st just near the Dilhan few shops down from amigos rest towards the beach. i think it was called "spot" "the spot" or something like that we had quite a few from there lovely

I found last year wherever you went for a kebab they put chips in it. I like the old kebabs where they sliced there bread in half then filled it with kebab meat and salad. But I dont know ant one who does this now they was the best.

Agree with JT - these are the best kebabs - have missed them over the winter. They have chips in them if you want them.

mostly the ones with chips in them are known as durums i think
the chicken or lamb mixed in with the chips is a nice touch i think :)

They still do them like this at the Golmar Beach. Usually once or twice a week they set up the kebab stall right beside the promenade walkway and anyone can buy one, worth taking a walk along as they're excellent. :wink:

i was in ankara this week and im just home so really missing all the lovely turkish food
british food just isnt as good and as fresh

I agree with JT. These are the bedst kebabs I have experienced. Just a few chips thrown in- Mmmm...!
