ICR Transfers

Postby Caltonian » 28 Apr 2012 13:59

After shopping around the net for a bit, we've decided just to go with ICR for our transfers. Unless we booked something like a tour bus transfer through one of the big transfer websites to save some money, ICR is actually working out cheaper given that it's a private transfer. I have a couple of questions though, if someone could help....

There will be 4 of us, how many more people maximum can we expect to share the transfer with us?

If we ask, will the driver stop for a quick smoke/toilet break at the usual rest point?

My partner may have to bring her wheelchair, will it be a problem stowing it on the vehicle? It is just a normal, collapsible type of chair with the large rear wheels (which can be detached). Even if she is requiring her chair at that time, she will be able to enter and exit the vehicle with few problems so we won't require any kind of special assistance, just assurances that the vehicle will take her chair no problems.

Thanks for any help

I do not see a problem with them being able to stow the chair away. Usually the vehicles they use are small people carriers so you could expect either just you guys in there or may 2 more people only. I would think.

With regards to the comfort stop. I know this sounds funny but the joy of ICR transfers is not having to stop and therefore getting to the resort quicker. But, I am sure the driver may welcome a stop if you guys request it.

Hi Caltonian, our transfer buses hold maximum 13 people but dependent on time of season your coming you can sometimes have the bus to yourself. Our transfers do not have a comfort stop, however if the guests requires a stop this is not a problem, however, with no comfort stop and limited people on the bus ensures your transfer is 1hour 30mins, so not a long tranfer time. If you do book your transfer with us and you will be bringing a wheel chair with you this is not a problem, but please just let us know so we send one of our larger vehicles to pick you up to accommodate the chair. If you need to know any other information about our transfers then please let us know :D

Hi Caltonian,
We have use Icr transfers 6/7 times (return so 12/14 runs), the most on a transfer was 12(1 run), all returning to Dalaman airport and all picked up in Icmeler, so no problems. 5 runs just me and other half in air conditioned people carrier. We were offered cold water, from a mini fridge in the vehicle and then told to help ourselves, the driver will only stop if you want him to or for fuel. After our 1st time to Turkey in a 72 seater coach, being one of the last drops, because to reach Icmeler, you have to go through Marmaris, there fore last off, 1st on, we decided to use transfers. You are on your way as soon as luggage is loaded, and in the resort in 1 hour 20 mins.
Just a word of note, inform J.T. of wheelchair just so the vehicle will hold it but having used them as many times as we have, I can't foresee any problems.
Enjoy Steve.

And also in reply to other transfer posts on other parts of the forum, We are not on Commission, just recognize Good Service.

Thanks for the replies, Sami and Laney.

Laney, although there will be 4 of us, we will only be bringing 2 suitcases and our hand luggage so perhaps a car would be able to accomodate these and the wheelchair? As I mentioned, the wheelchair comes apart almost completely so that when disassembled, it would be no bigger than a suitcase itself.

Oh, and we are arriving on 12th September. Will definitely be booking with ICR, we just need to wait a couple of weeks til I get paid

Another question.....our flight gets in at 22:25. Assuming we get through customs, etc quickly, what time can we realistically expect to arrive at our hotel, assuming we dont stop for a toilet break?

Edit: Thank you also, Steve

Dont think you can pay online with a debit card, PayPal and credit card only or by cheque

We would not send a car for 4 people as it would not be very comfortable with luggage

We do though also have 7 seater minibuses so you may also end up in one of them

You have to pay via Paypal with a debit card and it is about 3% extra for that but if you send a cheque there is no charge

You are the experts JT ;)

Paypal is no problem as I already have an account, and even with the 3% charge you are still cheaper than anything else i've found..
