sorry to show my ignorence but what is the difference between english breakfast and scotish . is it just the black pudding

Black pudding, potato [tattie] scones and square sausages are the biggest differences.

Maybe it's a lancashire thing, but black pudding's the essential full english ingredient for me - pref a Bury one and none of that hash brown business thank you very much !!

I thought Black Pudding was part of a full English as well, but couldn't be sure. That and tattie scones are an essential part of a fry-up for me.

Never tried white pudding myself and never known it to be served here, so I don't think it's a Scottish thing

Where have you been hiding? In my regular digs on Islay my full Scottish contained black pudding, white pudding and haggis. Check out the photo on the reviews of the Bowmore House, Islay on TripAdvisor, now that's what you call a breakfast. No wonder I developed high blood pressure

Square sausage - Steak is preferable (no links nonsense)
Fried egg(s)
Ayrshire bacon (smoked or unsmoked)
Stornoway black pudding (best in the world)
Tattie scones
Optional:
Dumpling, Beans, Fried bread, Nice soft Mothers pride outsider for dookin the eggs
Never ever in a million years:
Mushrooms and tomatoes

White pudding is mainly a dish from the east. The east of Scotland, Edinburgh Dundee etc

Stornoway black pudding is best in the world. Generally I dislike the english black pudding

What about beans for breakfast. Personally for me this is a NO NO
