ICMELER DOG HOME.

Postby fifegirl » 21 Apr 2012 17:00

Just wanting to put a post on here for all the doggie lovers going to Icmeler this year. Janet Bradley and the staff who run the place do a sterling job, but need the help of people going to Icmeler on their holidays. Doggie treats and collars and leads are so expensive over there, so im asking my fellow Icmelerites to maybe take some over to her. Poundland is a fab place for these, and Janet would be over the moon for our help. No toys as they can cause cross infection, but chews etc are ideal as are strong collars and leads.(no harnesses) Thankyou for taking time to read this and hope you can help . :D :D :D fifegirl aka Jacky

The dog home is in the old village. If you go past Tommys restuarant bearing left and follow the directions on the Turunc road its at the side of the water distribution factory. It nestles in the side of the mountain on the left hand side of the road. There is a big green security fence round it, and when you are walking up towards the home you can hear all the doggies. Its about 10 -15 mins walk from the centre of the main street.

Honey, I would be more than happy to help - going out on the 20th May for our 4th visit to 'paradise'.
Last year when we went we had just lost our previous beagle 10 days before. I will pop some gifts in my
Suitcase. Please tell me - is it anywhere near sidiks??

Normally hate shopping on Sunday but just back from our local shopping centre and I must say I quite enjoyed it this time. Why? Because I was out buying leads and collars for the dogs in Icmeler. 5 leads and 5 collars ready to go in the case and will top up with treats closer to us leaving. Looking forward to seeing all the dogs in June ( wish it was tomorrow) but still only 7 weeks left now. Roll on

Hi Doggie lovers,
To add to Fifegirls message, if you have any spare time whilst you are there the dogs love going for walkies so if you are missing your dogs back home Jan and Semin will be glad to let you help out. Myself and jmelia/Donna met at the pound last year and took some of the gorgeous mutts out. Also if anyone can afford worming tablets they are also helpful to Jan.
Enjoy yourselves
Wendy xx

p.s if you get stuck for directions you could always ask at the new 3 Bells or the ICR office and i am sure they will help.

Woo Hoo. Will love taking the dogs for a walk as my dog will be kenneled for 2 weeks and I will be missing her. Will see if I can add some worming tablets to the package before I go.

Staying at the Eden Gardens (in 4 weeks) so I guess we are fairly nearby? Will pop some goodies in our case to bring with us. Would be great to take the dogs out for a walk! Didn't think I could be doing that on my hols!
