As soon as I leave the house to go to airport.
I love it all - taxi ride, airport for at least 2 hours, queue, plane......everything is so good.
Maybe it's when I mark on calendar start of holidays at work - 1st April.
18 weeks and counting, eh Keith, a little less for you.
Hope you have a nice cold beer waiting for us when we arrive 25thAugust. Will arrive roughly around 4pm......a frozen glass mind. I know you'll remind Genghis to have some ready for us.
Thanks pal.....see you then :D :D :D

When i get my full English at Manchester airport. No matter what time we travel at, i always get one. Because for the rest of the holiday i don't usually bother (unless i'm very hungover and need some greece to line my stomach). I know it's expensive, but it does trully make me feel as though my holiday has commenced.

Some cracking answers. There are a few folk who must be on holiday for about 6 months of the year cause their jollies start as soon as they book up!! I do really need to get out more!
I also agree whole heartedly with dotty, that when the taxi gets over the top of the mountain and starts to drop down into Marmaris the old heart gives a flutter and i know we are only 10 minutes away from paradise!!
PS Dont worry Carol, ill get the glasses and EFES on ice for your arrival x

Once I am over the Forth Road Bridge I settle into holiday mode. If you get stuck on the North side, for whatever reason, there's no chance of getting to the airport on time. I have been known to be at the airport 4 hours before the flight, just in case!!!!! 6 weeks today I shall be making that journey.......So excited.
