couple of quick questions

Postby daisysun » 15 Apr 2012 07:39

Hi, Just a couple of quick questions
Can someone please give me directions to the ICR office from the Alvaro apartments. Thank you in advance.
Also does ICR do trips/excursions that you can't get elsewhere?
Can anyone reccomend a good trip that is also suitable for children? We have 3 children aged 10, 6, and 1 (will be his 1st birthday whilst in Icmeler!!!) My older two have been on boat trips etc before and love them, we went to the mudbaths.
Also, not sure if this ones a bit of a bad subject, but i have read a couple of posts about swimming with dolphins? this would be something that we all (maybe not the youngest!) would love to do but obviously not if there are concerns over welfare of the dolphins etc, could someone please tell me a bit more about this day out with prices etc.
Thank you very much, i have just joined this forum (after viewing it for a long while) and already have gained a lot of info that will make our holiday that much better! Thank you

Not sure of the way from Alvaro to ICR Office but someone will tell you on the forum. When you have an answer to that one, contact ICR and speak to the staff, who are all helpful, and they will advise you of all the trips you require. ENJOY :D

Hi & Welcome.
ICR office is not far from the Alvaro, easiest if you come out of the gates &turn left & then immediately turn right & walk down to the main street where the Sports bar is on your right on the corner. From there go right, staying on that side of the street, walk to the end of that road you will come to a roundabout junction (the 'square' or centrum) & look opposite on the first floor you will see the ICR sign. Cross from there & walk straight down the side of that building & you will see the Scotia bar but just before there you will see the office stairs. Only a five minute stroll.

ICR offer a wide range of excursions so i would give them a call and im sure they will be able to give you advice on the dolphins and anything else you might want to ask
they are very helpful
also the ICR office is in the centre of icmeler beside the tandoori sizzler and scotia bar
across the road from bonjour and lighthouse
hope this helps :)

We were hoping to swim with the dolphins this year but were disappointed to read that children under the age of 12 are not allowed. Your older two would be able to 'meet the dolphins' though.

Have a look at http://www.icmeleronline.com/icmeler_excursions.php

Hi daiseysun, at ICR we have got many excursions available that your children would love.

The main one that I think even the 1 year old will enjoy is the Aquadream (waterpark) which has a great area for little ones and big slides for those that feel braver.

The Dolphin encounter is a fantastic experience, unfortunately all your children are under the age for swimming with the dolphins as they have to be 12years or older, however the 10year old and the 6 year old could meet the dolphins.
Meeting the dolphins allows them to kneel at the pool side and touch and stroke the dolphin and get the dolphin to do tricks The older child can do this on his own , but the 6year old would need to be accompanied by an adult.

As for excursions that only ICR sell, we have the infamous Gypsey beach guided by our very own John Toohey, this is a relaxing day out which the children will also enjoy, if you have a look on the forum you will find peoples reviews and photos of this excursion.

We also have new this year a day trip to Akyaka, this a trip travelling by Jeep to Akyaka (another beach resort) and then aswell as including lunch you will travel by boat along the river. The Akyaka trip can only be booked through ICR or G-day who have a booth next to Vinces restaurant.

If there are any other excursions you would like information on then please just let me know. All our excursions can be booked online before arriving in resort or you can organise them in our office in resort, or if you don't want to move far from your accommodation let me know and I can come to see you :D
