Hi Lyn, it depends on how you are travelling. If you have a private transfer (ie. ICR) then its approx 1hr20mins, but if you on a normal tour operators bus it can be anything up to 3 hours depending on how many drop offs they have to make. Hope this helps.

We actually were 5 hours on Resort hoppa - one and a half hours waiting for other people, and 3 and a half hours travelling!! Never again - its private transfers every time for us. they may be more expensive, but definitely worth the extra. :P

I have always used resorthoppa and always been at destination in super quick time. Last year we had 1 couple on people carrier when we got on then onto Marmaris where we picked up another couple then a single female. It was like a private transfer.
They use carriers or mini buses so not too many stops.
Suppose its the luck of the draw but we have always been ok with them :) :) :)

I think a lot of it depends on your arrival time, we have used a private transfer and it is definately quicker, but if you are arriving at silly o clock i dont think it matters a great deal if you are on the tour company transport, and i have to say the tour bus hasnt always called into the mid point stop

When we used Resort Hopper, they had drop offs in Marmaris (which we expected), but what we didnt expect, and nor did the driver apparently, was some silly bint, who was staying at the Marina right over the other side, wanting to be dropped off there, rather than in Marmaris. This added an extra 45 minutes to our trip

I would say private transfer as you get to the resort quickier meaning you can start relaxing and drinking efes/cocktails sooner! :D

Last year, in October, on our return transfer we had a little stop of at a petrol station and got himself a drink and us one, even some sweets (which we personally didn't like) but it was a nice thought :)

There are several factors to consider. Private transfer is quicker but will cost around £90 per couple and take around 1H 25 min.
I normally take the shuttle bus wnen I arrive in May so the resort is normally queiter and arrive normally around midnight/early hours so the roads are quiet. The shuttle bus I have had there is normally only 2/3 other couples and it takes around 1H 40 min. On occasions we have had the minibus to ourselves. Cost this year is only £30 per couple return.

is it worth paying an extra £60 to arrive 15/20 minutes quicker. £60 is a lot of EFES. It all down to personal choice

Personally, I enjoyed the stop off the 1 time i've been. Even though we had arrived early evening, as a smoker it was very convenient for me as it gave me a chance to enjoy a cig after the long flight (the 1 you have at Dalaman after a 7 hour wait isn't actually enjoyable, more a necessity lol).

Don't know if it's still the same but when we used to travel with the tour operators we were told that there would be a comfort stop if a travel rep was on the bus, if only a driver then they wouldn't.

90 mins door to door with a private transfer
little more expensive but well worth the money
someone waiting personally for you with your name on a board at the airport
own private vehicle and driver
door to door service = perfect :)

we always have a private transfer since we booked with thompson 5 years ago and the transfer to resort took almost 4 hours. we pay £100 return for 4 of us which at £25 each return is really good and worth doing without a few extra efes
