Dalaman airport trollys

Postby marjorie arnold » 08 Apr 2012 14:07

Last time I was there over 5 years ago the porters seemed to charge you what they wanted even though they were supposed to be free. Now I understand there is a set charge. Does anyone know how much they should be. Although I am wheelchair assisted I don't think my poor grandaughter will be able to manage two cases and my walking frame to the ICR rep !!!!!!!!

It used to be either £1 or 1 TL but I think last year they would only accept £1 coin.

I have paid a quid a time every time for years now. I always ask as I am expecting it to go up but it never has and not one has tried to charge me more and I get one on arrival and coming home.

The guy told me £2 last year,I was sure it should have been £1 so refused to pay it ,said I would pay £1,no more,he then asked me if I had a £20 note and tried to give me £18 for it so that I had to pay £2, I gave him his money back until he relented and gave me 19 pound coins in exchange. He thought he could rip me off, wrong !

Even at 2 quid a trolley it's still the cheapest thing you can get at Dalaman Airport.

Think all of the managers there went to the Dick Turpin business school.

Last September when we arrived at Dalaman, I had forgotten to keep change for a trolly, the guy was happy to take my £10 note, then tried to give me only £8 change, I told him to give me my £10 back and he was then happy to give me another £1 coin. Think sometimes they are just chancers!

Do be on your guard though.
Last year when we arrived there was a guy offering trolleys, can't remember how much, and telling everyone they could get the money reimbursed by the rep at your transfer vehicle.
Needless to say there was a lot of bemused reps, and some quite irate passengers!!!
