TC flight

Postby shaz150 » 02 Apr 2012 15:58

Hi all
Booked my flights for 22nd May way back in January with T**** C*** and recieved an email with itinery and tickets straight away. Booked again last week with them for 1st May for a sneaky week with with my mum and have only received the itinery, no tickets!! Has anyone else had this happen? I have tried ringing them every day, also because I'll need wheelchair assistance for my mum and can never get a reply. It gets to the end of a long winded message and then states they are experiencing a high number of calls, please try again later or use the web site. I can't request assistance on the website and am worried about the tickets. This sneaky week is becoming more trouble than it's worth but know it'll be worth it when we arrive!!!!!

Thanks for the reply, if I request it there will they organise it at Dalaman aswell? Now worrying about my tickets, don't know whether to pop into a Thomas Cooks in town, but as I booked it online wondered if they would help.
Thanks Shaz

Whenever I can't get through on a number I ring an alternative number and ask them to transfer me.It doesn't always work but it does most of the time. The numbers that I found for Thomas Cook are-
0844 879 8400, 0203 027 5100, 0871 989 1328, 0871 895 0055, 0871 6647481, 0871 895 0095 and 0844 855 0515. The last number is the one for wheelchair assistance but if you can't get through it's worth trying the others. Good Luck.

Thanks for all those numbers. I'll try again tomorrow after work. Hopefully will get to speak to someone instead of listening to messages and getting cut off at the end.
Thanks again

i wouldnt worry about wheelchair assistance at dalaman. When we have travelled with friends of ours, my mate has ms and is now really struggling to walk. As soon as we arrive in dalaman a wheelchair is provided and the guy will push him the whole way into the terminal and straight to the front of both visa and passport controls and down to the carosel and even out to the transfer. Absolutely fantastic service.

Hi shaz

I tried phoning TC all last week for something I needed and kept getting the busy message and being cut off.

I went on the their Facebook page put my enquiry on there and got a reply within a few hours.

Could be worth a try

Hi Shaz

I had similar problem and in the end I sent an email to [email protected] and got a reply a few hours later. This address was given to me by our local TC shop as it was the only way they could contact their admin office !!!!!!!!!!. Hope you are lucky.

You'll get a response in a couple of minutes if you use their online chat facility. I struggled to find it on their flights site but if you go onto holidays it's obvious on there and they'll give you the correct link to use. They've definitely embraced social media as a means of contact, shame they don't have more of them on the phone but then it's all about cost I guess!

Shaz150 if you have received you itnerary, then you should have got your reference number for your booking. If you then go onto the Thomas Cook website and go to Manage Bookings you will have to put in the Lead passengers Surname and the booking reference number. This will then take you to your booking and gives you the option to view your tickets and print them. Also check your junk mail as the e-mail with your tickets on may have gone in there as it comes from a different e-mail address to the itinerary.
Hope this helps and saves you some time and money ringing people.

Was so frustrated yesterday I rang TC holidays, the man who answered said he couldn't help and gave me another number to ring. Guess what after selecting the number was put through to the same messages I'd been on all week and then cut off. He also told me u don't get tickets now and have to check in online. thats gonna be fun!!!
I've now sent an email to customer services regarding wheelchair assistance but not yet had a reply.

Thanks for everyones help

Had another email yesterday with our 4th flight times change, which always goes into my spam,so I had to go into manage my booking to print off new tickets, you have to put in your reference No,email address and surname, you dont get the coloured E tickets anymore, its just like an invoice with names flight nos and baggage weight, this is what you give in on checkin at the airport,it also says that you can only check in online if you have pre booked seats. :)

You can contact the airport direct for wheelchair assistance but you can only do this within 24 hours of your flight. I've had to do this a couple of times when the company hadn't notified them and found that they sorted it out quickly. When on the plane remind the flight attendants before you land, that you need wheelchair assistance when you arrive at Dalaman. So even if you can't get it sorted beforehand it'll still be okay.

Before every holiday I phone the airport the day before to double check that they've received the request for wheelchair assistance. They only have the lists for the next 24 hours so there's no point ringing before then. Hope this helps.

Thanks for all the replies,
Just been on TC to add API info, and noticed you don't check in online for Humberside airport so I assume I just take the printout of the itinery with us. Seems strange not having tickets because I already have them for my flights on 22nd May. I also manged to go onto Live chat but was told unable to help today and to try again Tuesday. Don't think much to their customer services if I'm honest :?

Shaz,Why dont you phone Thomas Cook airlines directly on 0844.8550515.
Best time to phone is 9am or after 5pm,when you will probably get straight through to someone.
