That's probably a question for where you are staying! Some "safes" are small boxes in the reception area, I've stayed in some places where you'd get an ipad in one, some where you can barely fit a wallet and 2 passports in. Some accomodation has larger safes in the rooms, really depends on where you are staying.

To be honest if a safe was in the reception area I will not use it, the keys are there at reception and my friend and her family got robbed a few years ago when they left their stuff in the safe at a reception area, their passports were ok but all money gone and she had to use her credit card and really go easy with money. It was reported but culprit was not found. I know the reception area is manned 24/7 but they do need to go to the loo etc and I have sometimes seen some in the early hours fast asleep. I would do without it and leave it at home.

We took ours to Tenerife in December knowing the apartment we rent had a very large safe, only to get there and find the owners had changed it to the smaller standard size safe you get in hotels.

Initially worried but they fit in no problem, admittedly you have to empty it to fit it in then put stuff back in but it fitted, if you have a casecaround it rather than the apple flap cover that may not fit but the iPad itself will definitely fit.
The safe they had was exactly the same as the one we had in our room in they Kapmar back in July.

I would say no, most safes in Turkey are the small home type safes just enough room for cash, camera, passports etc
