Pre Paid Cards

Postby haydn » 14 Mar 2012 19:42

hi all, have searched around for this topic but cant find much at all. I normally use my Nationwide card as it was free but now they charge. I was wondering if anyone uses a prepaid card and if so what type, was looking to get one with no fee,s or minimum fee,s

We use a Nationwide credit card for purchases and pay the bill off when it arrives so there are no charges at all. We even use it in some restaurants and use cash for the tip. Don't know how long this will last as everywhere seems to be putting extra charges now. Nationwide charges for use of their credit card in some countries and has a list of countres that they don't charge in and Turkey is on that list.

I've got a citibank one, there are no transaction charges on it but it does charge to withdraw cash. Not sure if it's the same for all citbank cards or just this one as I got it as a cashback offer with my new tv!

Ive used a prepaid card before and never would again in turkey. you have to pay to load up the card and then pay again to withdraw money from the cash machine. i was cheaper using my own clydesdale bank card to withdraw money. think its okay loading them with euros going to the eurozone as there is no transaction fees. i will just be taking lira and withdraw from the cash machine if needed.

Fee x
