Other foreigners in Icmeler

Postby bikerjambo » 12 Mar 2012 20:16

Just thinking, when out and about during the day there are plenty Russian, Polish, German and Dutch accents about but come night time the custom in bars and restaurants are almost 100% British and Irish!
Where do the rest go? Surely can't all be having early/quiet nights.

I don't want to speak for all of them but the Scandinavians do tend to buy in food & drink if they are self catering and spend all night on their balconys getting merry. From what I have experienced is they either come as big groups or they make friends with other people, usually from the same place as themselves and then have their own little parties! Hey, more room for us in the bars!!! :)

Have seen quite a few Dutch in the bars, especially the young men and in groups. They are usually up for a laugh and dance with the waiters and the belly dancer, join in the fun and very polite. met a lot of Germans but that was on the beach. Russians, well once or twice but the ones I have seen complain about the food and expect not to pay the bill etc- they are not very popular with all the waiters I have spoken to!
