Dalaman airport

Postby benevis » 10 Mar 2012 11:42

Has anybody used the executive lounge at Dalaman airport? We have a long wait at the airport, as our friends who are travelling with us , but to a different home airport, leave 90 mins before us. Thought we might book it, any thoughts? :D :D

We used it last year (2 adults & 2 children) when we were delayed. Got a good deal (eventually) although I can't remeber how much. We felt it was well worth it as we got unlimited food and soft drinks and tea and coffee. We also got very comfy seats and unlimited internet access. Bearing in mind the extortionate prices at Dalaman airport we actually saved money going in the executive lounge.

heres the link re CIP Lounge at Dalaman http://www.atmairport.aero/Dalaman_en/cip.php#
They offer hot & cold beverages, cakes, pastries, salads, sandwiches etc.I used it last year as I had a problem with the Visa fees and complained and the Manager emailed me and said that when I was next flying from Dalaman myself and any other passengers I was with would be entitled to use it for free. The prices for food inside the airport are so extortionate I think it is well worth it if I had to pay for it next time.

The food we had was a cold buffet. While it was nothing exceptional it was an awful lot better than in the airport. It was also service with a smile. We were there about 11.00pm and they brought fresh bits out for us. I got the impression that there was more choice and hot food during the daytime.
We would do it again, especially if we were dalayed on a night flight again. It was worth it just to sit on comfy chairs. :)

Nimic if you think you have a delay then yes it is a good option

I have been in the airport years ago and it was announced the flight was delayed for 4 hours so I left it till 3.5 hours before departure then paid the money.

Well worth it to sit in comfortable chairs and have a peacefull environment

It's one of not that many lounges that doesn't include alcohol in the complimentary selection, but you can still buy it when you're in there. Decent selection of snacks too. If you are considering booking, it's cheaper to do it in advance and get cashback on it too if you have an account with quidco. There are quite a number of retailers on there offering lounges, holiday extra's is usually the best price - http://www.quidco.com/user/465328/ :)

we went to cip lounge a few years ago and it was very good value for money considering the prices in the main airport. there was some hot food available but just chips and chicken nuggets onion rings and a couple of other bits and bobs. there is a 3 hour limit on how long you can stay in the lounge
