Monarch.

Postby RebeccaAx » 24 Jan 2012 16:55

Hello there.

I hope somebody can help me. I've found a cheap flight with Monarch, but I was wondering has anybody flown with them before and are they reliable as I've heard mixed stories before.

Thanks,
Diane.

I flew with them in October last year and they were on time, the only problem we had were delays due with the french air traffic. I would have to say there isn't much leg room but apart from that they were fine and we're flying out with them in July

I always try to book with Monarch, they are better than TC.

This year you can choose extra hold luggage and choose your seat if you book direct, a nice 23kg for me this year and 10kg hand

Hi,
we have also used Monarch before and also much prefer them to Thomas cook, have had more leg room with them and a much better service all round, would go with them again anytime,
hope this helps

Used them a couple of times, no issues at all other than the lack of leg room as others have said. Enough for me but I'm only a shorty so if you're tall then it's worth paying the extra for a bit more. I priced them into my comparisions with other flights and they still came out cheapest until I found a cracking deal with J2 :)

I have just booked my outbound with Monarch for June. Good prices too. I am also fairly short and my friend so we'll be fine for the leg room.

I always fly with Monarch, never had a problem at all. Can't comment on the legroom as I'm 6'3 so we always book extra legroom seats. The flights have always been on time
The worst airline I flew with was Thomsons. I paid a fortune for morning flights going out and then 6 months later they put me on a night flight and reduced my holiday by a day. I went ballistic and after 2 hours of arguments with them on the phone they offered me on a morning flight (the same flight I had already booked!!!!). Worked out in the end but vowed never to fly with them again.

Right back on topic, Monarch are a great airline :)
