Cans cafe End of An Era

Sad to say cans cafe along from del mar is no more , after a problem with the beledeyesi cans has been closed and completely gutted . I for one am gutted can has been there for over 20 years and created the cafe from nothing , the friendship my family have had from can and his family was nothing short of amazing , the lads were friendly and always willing to help , cans wife has opened a sports cafe in icemeler but this obviously does not benefit from the breathtaking views over the bay . So in conclusion thanks for all the happy memories and good luck with your new venture xx Paul Julie and Giorgio xxxx

I heard that the place was on offer in a kind of auction so don't really know what is happening there

Hi JT well last tues beledeyesi were there in force with cameras tractors and a massive digger plus zabita dragging all that was left out of the place jan was there the 2 days before getting out what he could with his staff , very sad to see such a beatiful cafe treated like this any info you get would be much appreciated as i will not be back in icmeler till feb Cheers Paul

Can Cafe and the other buildings are still there and up for auction to the highest bidder

From what I can gather the owners at Can had been paying a peppercorn rent for over 10 years and when the council set the rent to a realistic amount they refused to pay so were moved on
