What a horrible disapointment. We had to cancel a hol two years ago. Two days before we should have flown husband badly fractured his arm. We lost £100 and got the rest back, was paid out within a couple of weeks. So hope you do as well as we did.

Really sorry to hear all of your stories about not being able to go. I know how I would feel if the same thing happened to me. I would also be in tears. But, we all need our health so everyone get well again soon and we'll all keep saving ready for next season. Can't wait already!!! LOL

A few years ago we lost out on two weeks in Içmeler. We had booked for four weeks so we were still able to go for the 3rd and 4th week. We were gutted by this at the time especially as we hadn't arranged our travel insurance but realised we were very lucky in that we still had two weeks there. So the lesson that we learnt is to book our travel insurance as soon as we pay for our accommodation. We were able to
transfer the flights but of course couldn't get a refund on the accommodation.
