You've just got to try Melissa, and Charlies place, very close to each other.

The are both great places to eat, the food being presented really well, and tastes divine....... Charlie does the best fresh pasta ever! (say hi to Ali at Charlies, from Andrea)

You won't be disappointed!

after years of walking past, we tried the kerem on the canal. an outstanding menu full of authentic turkish food.my only regret is we never tried it years ago.an oasis of calm amid the fun pubs.

kerem house

Postby patrushka » 06 Oct 2006 08:42

dont miss the kerem house
a bit more expensive than than the run of the mill stuff(priced like the loveboat)
but trully out of this world
it is in a traditional mugla house and the woman who owns it is very very nice
it is recommended as a top class restuarant in the mugla district throughout turkey
the food is very traditional and beautiful and as was said before in a oasis of calm
last time i was there it was a bit chilly and the owner gave me her beautiful cashmere pashmina to wear for the evening

Very difficult to choose my favourite. We ate in loads and all were very good. The steaks were superb everywhere, had no complaints at all. In my opinion the best plank steak I had was at Troys, absolutely beautiful and huge, along with really good, friendly staff we couldn't have asked for more.

Most places do excellent food but there are some that are better than others

The mandalin restaurant is fantastic. You can't go wrong there. All the food is excellent. I would highly recommend it.

:( Kervan Restaurant was excellent....but when we were there for the 1st 2 weeks of October, it had closed down and was gutted out. We got told that it has been sold. What a shame if that is true....it was always so busy :(
