We got back Saturday and didn't get bitten once, or infact see any.
Very few bees around, I think I saw possibly 5 or 6 in two weeks.
Although there are plenty of hornets to make up for them, but they just seem to go about their business and didn't bother us at all!
With regards to the mozzies we used Avon skin so soft, took a garlic pill each day and used tea tree oil shower gel, shampoo & conditioner(the last 3 my good lady used, I have no hair) :-)
Worked a treat.

we got back on Monday and only got bitten a couple of times when we were in the old village at night. can't say mozzies or any flying creatures were a problem though.
Mind you, from our experience you tend to see more wasps and bees in Sept and Oct, worst place for them is along the shoreline as they bury under the sand when they're dying so watch you don't step on any
Am sure you won't let them spoil your hol though
Have a great time
