Lady hurt coming off inflatable in Icmeler

Hi, in todays Sun there is a picture of a lady who has some terrible injuries coming off some sort of inflatable in Icmeler bay, she had to have plates in her face and all sorts, not nice , poor lady

Just looked at the picture and it's very nasty. Says she flow up into the air and came down on her husbands head

I have been uhming and ahing about whether to let my son go on any of the inflatable rides as he's always been to young in the past, I was going to treat him but I know most regular holiday insurance won't cover you for these type of things and that's what was holding me back.
I just showed him the article and it's scared the life out of him so at least there won't be any whinging when we're away about not being allowed.

Poor lady but at least she's on the mend now. Freak accidents happen all the time, no consolation to person who is hurt though.

Not really sure what this has got to do with 'Icmeler' as such. it could have happened just the same off the coast of Scotland, Spain, Cypress or Skegness!!

Insurance companies will not insure for that kind of activity so if you go on one of those activities then you take your chances

I hope the lady in question is not too seriously hurt and gets well soon.

I went on one in 1998 my first time in Icmeler, in them days i only had one bikini, then I lost the top half on the ringos

unfortunately on inflatable rides you are at the mercy of the guy who drives the boat.i have been assisting family members back on to these things for years and will continue to do so.I LOVE THEM

We've been down the beach 3 days running and the only people we see coming off is on the ringos!! And they do come off hard and fast, as they take up to 5 at a time. So maybe that's the one to avoid!!
Banana boats & armchair we haven't seen anyone fall off.

I cant help but notice that the original poster of this topic has not been involved in it since. I personally hope that this isn't due to some of the rather uncalled for remarks made . Most of us understand the ill feeling towards a certain newspaper and why, but i am not sure that the original poster (or janeypoos) would have mentioned the newspaper by name if they thought that it would cause offence. After all, this is an Icmeler forum and they were only remarking on something that happened "recently" in "Icmeler".I too hope that the lady who was injured makes a full recovery and that it does not happen to anybody else who is basically on holiday and trying to have fun.
