Lion Bar

Postby redrhino12 » 10 Oct 2006 19:31

Oh whoe is me.
Time to don the sack cloth and ashes.
My favourite bar of all time has been sold.
Heard today that John & Julia mine Hosts of the Lion Bar have finally sold the Restaurent and Bar after being on the market for over a year.
Also read that it would no longer be a fun pub.

How is the Rhino to go through the winter months with the trauma of his bestest bar going to new owners?.

I hope the new owners retain the old staff for next year as in my opinion they were the slickest entertainment team in Icmeler.
All the guys in the bar were telling me what they where going to try and achieve for next year.
Whats that saying about mice and men?.

Hope its not turned into the biggest hairdressers in Icmeler as I think the ladies are catered for enough.
Maybe a mega Haman.

How will I sleep tonight with all this worry, Hope its all sorted for when I go over in May.

 That's sad, it won't be the same with the new owners...we used to spend all our time in the 3 bells (by Tansas) 2 years on a run most nights, then they got rid of all the staff that made it fun and on the 3rd year we only went when we had to (most probably to watch the footy  )

gene, i feel you,r pain.you and your favourite bar torn apart .to never cha cha slide there again is to much to cope with.my hope is that it is kept as a place of entertainment and fun,and not an emporium for towels/teeshirts/handbags/shoes/jewelery/ladies,gents,kids outfits and last but by no means least objae dah(rubbish).i wish you well in your quest to find a substitute lion.many many days of exploration and fact finding will be required.but you are the man for that job good luck.

I have read the message David and accept the assignment.
This being, if the Lion is no more, my quest will be to scour the streets and lanes of Icmeler to find another watering hole for yours Truly.

This new place must serve a good pint of Efes (For Me).
Have good looking waiters,(For Mrs Gene).
Dancing Boys,(For Mrs Gene).
Serve a Good Meal,(For Mrs Gene).
Have An Hairdressers shop next door,(For Mrs Gene).

I have found if Mrs Gene is happy my life is trouble free and a doddle.

The Quest Starts in May.

Gene, just cross the road to the Dream 3 Bells. After you have laboured on your quest of course.

Gene,

Wouldn't it be a great idea if we all clubbed together and bought a new bar in Icmeler. You could stay out there all summer and run the place.
I think you would make a great manager.

ooooh ...... What a laugh we would all have.
