Draught Effes

Postby ChrisB » 09 Aug 2011 17:23

Not being a lager drinker I sometimes find that after a while that drinking bottled Effes gets a bit too much for me, however I have had quite a few pints of draught (not sure what the bar is called but it is near the square where all the bank machines are, and has a boat theme (( I think)) as I can remember them having rope around the perimeter) and find that it is easier to drink as it is not as fizzy,

Does anyone have any favourite bars that serve draught beer that they can pass on.

Failing that I will just persevere with the bottles when I am not able to get the draught and keep taking the remegel chews ha ha.

Most places will sell the draught, its certainly not as gassy.

When we were there in June, we tried the new lager thats out, not just as strong as bottled Efes, and not as gassy. Its called 'Perge' - I quite enjoyed that one, but my Husband preferred the Efes.

I tried Perge beer too in the Robin Hood Bar and must admit I liked it better than Efes, which I find too gassy, but my Greg still prefers Efes, he's drooling right now thinking about 2 weeks time when he'll be downing a few

Going off piste a bit here but it is lager related, lol!

I remember the bars we went to years back kept beer glasses in the freezer to keep the Efes cold for longer, do most places still do this?

Diva and Gondol - 2 of my favourite bars for drinking Efes. Also Eddies Bar does draught in frozen glasses. Roll on 3 rd Sept. Until then bottles from Morrisons will have too do!
