Hand Luggage

Postby jo_marie » 05 Aug 2011 08:36

1st of all I would like to say I am thinking of all you poor people that have lost your holidays/flights :(, but I have a query, we are flying with e***J** but we booked the flight through a tour op and not through E*** J**, the tour op says that hand luggage is 5kg but on the E***J*** website it says as long as it is the right size and you can lift the bag into the overhead locker with no help then there is no weight limit, dont want to call tour op at this stage as what with all thats gone on they will have me hanging on for ages on an 0845 number, does anyone have any advice??!?!? Thanks :D

We're flying E***J** and as long as your bag is smaller than the given dimensions ( maximum 56 x 45 x 25cm, including wheels, pockets and handles) it doesn't matter what it weighs.

You are definitely limited to ONE item of hand baggage pp so if anyone has a handbag/bumbag as well it must be able to fit inside the hand baggage.

The tour operator is probably just quoting the same info to everybody, regardless of which airline they are using.

When are you off?

0845 telephone numbers are local charges so if you're using a landline it's the lowest charge possible. If you have an 'inclusive landline calls' phone package, then 0844, 0845, 0870, and 0871 numbers are usually included in your free minutes allocation. Of course it's different if you use a mobile.Hope this helps.
